Ian Sturms has been with the Saline High School Men’s Soccer Program from its inception in 1990. He was a four year varsity player and a key team member during his seasons as a midfielder, helping his team to District titles his junior and senior years. His senior year he received honorable mention in the Ann Arbor News All-Area Team. He was one of the team’s first letter winners awarded to the soccer club program in 1993.

After he graduated in 1994 he assisted the varsity program until the soccer program became an official varsity sport in 1996. He then became the first Junior Varsity Head Coach and has held that position the last ten years. In 2005, he earned his 100th win as JV coach. His overall record is: 104 - 35 - 26.
Ian is employed by MC Sports in Brighton as Assistant Manager and is a Senior at Eastern Michigan University. He is engaged to Megan DeMara of Canton, MI. Ian’s hobbies other than soccer are films and a music collection that numbers well over 5,000 CD‘s and records.
